Black Ops II has received two big updates (update 1 and update 2) both of which are now live on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC, and Mac. Here’s what you can expect from each of these free content updates: • New “League Play” feature for competitive multiplayer action which supports both ranked and unranked matches. Plus regional ladders will be available at launch! • A new zombie experience with “Call of the Dead” featuring Hollywood legends George Romero (Night of the Living Dead), John Carpenter (Halloween), Robert Englund (A Nightmare on Elm Street) and Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy The Vampire Slayer). • “Shadows of Evil,” a new zombie experience that takes players to the 1940s where they will fight against zombies in a city immersed in a smoky darkness with lava everywhere. • A fourth bonus “Ultimate Edition” digital content pack featuring the Weaponized 115 Personalization Pack, a collection of custom weapon skins and player calling cards. • Additional Black Market updates including new Personalization Packs and new Blackjack Variants have been added to Call of Duty: Black Ops II. • General improvements have been made to improve the balance for Run N Gun Game Modes including fixes for lean spamming. • Various stability and connectivity improvements which include fixes for issues related to party chat. • Various bug fixes and tweaks have been made to improve the overall gameplay experience. And here’s what you can expect from Update 1: • New Weapons 「Arms Race」Game Mode - A new 2v2 Game Mode that rewards players based on their match score. The team that scores the most points wins the match. At the end of each match, players are awarded a number of weapon cash based on their score, allowing them to buy new weapons in the next round! All 16 primary weapons are available throughout the duration of a match, providing an abundance of options for players. • New Contracts Mode - A new game mode that challenges players with dynamic contracts. Players will be given specific contracts to complete, and will be rewarded with XP for each contract they successfully complete. • League Play is now available on the PlayStation 3! Players can enjoy league play by joining Public or Private Ladders, where they will compete against other players of similar skill levels. • League Leaderboards - Both Public and Private Ladders will display player Skill Ratings based on wins and losses. The highest Skill Rating players within a ladder are positioned higher on the leaderboard, allowing them to compete for exclusive rewards. • New Player Experience - Completely new user interface which includes a revamped lobby, improved spectator mode and a dedicated Social Hub. • Improved Games and Campaign lobbies for better team and player management. • Multiplayer Map Voting Popup has been added to improve the experience of voting on maps. • Minor bug fixes and tweaks have been made to improve the overall gameplay experience. -While the player is airborne, press/hold Jump, then Quick Melee to release jump with no time limit.
